Future Leaders Organize

On December 3^rd through the 5^th, Future Leaders of the TWU organization met in Grapevine Texas.  The Conference was attended by younger Members from across the system.  The 505 was represented by Future Leader Committee Chairperson Leilani Kapewa and future leaders Gregory Brooks (Title III) and Kevin Pratt (Title II).

The Conference was an opportunity to introduce newer Union Members to others and share ideas on what being a Leader in the Union means.  The attendees heard testimonials from current leaders who could share their experiences in leadership.  The group did break-out leadership building exercises to get a chance to explore, expand, and engage in leadership methods.

The International and our Local is committed to bring up new Leaders in the TWU.  Us, more seasoned leaders, have a lot to share – and a lot to learn from our younger Members.  Soon it will be time to pass the baton, and we are excited to groom any Member interested in becoming a Future Union Leader.
