Celebrating! its 25th Anniversary, the MLK Grande Parade, Houston Tx, is the third largest Parade in the U.S. behind The Rose Parade and The Macy’s Day Parade. During The Annual MLK Grande Parade, 300,000 Spectators attended and had a Viewing Audience of more than 4,000,000. The Annual MLK Grande Parade consists of 15 Parade floats & 30 Marching bands.

Local 505 participated in the Martin Luther King celebration and parade in Houston Texas.  Vice President Skip Hovorka, and Section Chairperson Herbert Brown attended to represent Local 505.  The International brought the bus down for the parade to make our presence known.  Besides Local 505 there were TWU Members from across all of divisions at the event.
